It's been a month since we welcomed 2015 with great euphoria.Two weeks since then we were all looking up into the skies ,flying kites during the kites festival which is the first festival of the year.
And then within a fortnight we had the world's most powerful man-Mr.Barack Obama visiting the sub-continent,for,he being invited as the guest-of-honour for the Republic day on January 26th.
As soon as he left,New Delhi was busy indulged in the assembly elections which were due in the next 10 days,with the first female IPS officer Ms.Kiran Bedi being the Chief Ministerial candidate from BJP.On the other hand we had Mr.Arvind Kejriwal from AAP contesting for the same post opposite Kran Bedi.The exit polls which displayed a neck-neck competition between the two parties made the election more intriguing.
While in J&K the two parties(BJP &PDP) are still at loggerheads to come to a consensus to form a coalation government.
Then we have the cricket lovers in India or rather in the whole world eagerly waiting and earnest for the commencement of the ICC WORLD CUP 2015.
And the youth might have probably been in a state of confusion making plans in prior for the Valentines Day.
So basically,the whole of India was chewing over or exchanging views on one or the other issues listed above.
Wondering about what the film industry was doing???

Our heart races fastly towards controversial things leaving behind the good.This is ofcourse a tendency of the human beings.So that thing which diverted all the people (or) that thing which has grabbed more attention was the AIB ROAST.So the people chose the ROAST foremost.
Heard about it???

We have been hearing a hell lot about this in the recent times.
This has become a popular drawing room conversation these days.This issue was making rounds in the news from the past 2 weeks.
So what actually is this AIB?
Well,ALL INDIA BACKCHOD or simply AIB is an Indian comedy group.This group maintains a You-Tube channel.The basic concept of this group is that it shows parodies on topics like politics and indian film industry.
The founders or the members of this group are Tanmay Bhatt,Gursimran Khamba,Rohan Joshi and Ashish Shakya.
This programme which was produced on December 28th,2014 was uploaded on Youtube on 28th of January,2015.
The two young actors Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh who are just trying to get a grip over the Bollywood were a part of the ROAST.
Interestingly we have the well-known producer-director Karan Johar(KJo) hosting the show.
KJo's mother,Deeepika Padkone,Sonakshi Sinha,Alia Bhatt,Sanjeev Kapoor were a few to name among the audience sitting there.
Controversy
What in AIB sparked Controversy?
Well,if not to be false,it is the explicit content in the show that triggered a controversy.The foul language or the vulgarity or the derogatory gestures made in front of 4000 audience moved a lot of people.
But in INDIA we have something called the freedom of speech i.e people here have right to speak or do anything unless it offends anyone.That is the beauty of the democracy afterall.
So everyone out there who watched the Roast should have noticed that either the both heroes or the director or the panel members were making fun of themselves and enjoying it.So it is in no way offending other people.They actually used the freedom of speech they have and people have no issues watching the show.And the Roast is claimed to have collected 40lakh rupees which will be moved for charity.
So the revenue which is incurred or made out of this show is actually going for a good cause.
They were many celebreties who had a say on this issue.
To pick a few randomly..
The Khan TRIO Salman,Sharukh and Aamir seemed to have condemned the show.On the other hand we have Alia Bhatt and Anushka Sharma showing their thumbs up for the show.
On the third hand we have a few celebreties trying to be diplomatic and tight lipped over the issue.
Amitabh Bachchan and a few more said that they have'nt watched it yet,so it would be too early to speculate aything.
Himesh Reshamiyya also ignored the press people, saying "no comments" when asked about the AIB knockout.
Yes,people have a divide talk on this issue.
But then what Aamir Khan said was absolutely true.He said that "the creators should enjoy the freedom of speech,but at the same time should have some responsibility for the nation."
Each individual will have a different understanding and they look at this with a different outlook .
There is a section of society having their thumbs up for this and another section of people saddened with the kind of filth in the show.If you still want to enjoy,laugh out of your guts,do watch it if available.
Compalints have been lodged on the show makers as well as those who were a part of the show.The celebreties who were a part of this were asked to make an apology.
Mean while the makers were asked to pull down the video from youtube from the Maharashtra Govt.
If there is anything out of law or illegal,the law will take its course.
